From Zac Meat and Melvados, we walk along the same road to a number of unit down to Fassler...

So what are they selling there??

That's right !!! Frozen seafood... 

To shop, 
1) Grab a basket
2) Walk into their giant freezer 
3) Select what you want
4) Go outside and pay. 

That's it.

But let me warn you. It's so cold in there. I can hardly stand more than 5 mins. I wanted to see more but because i have already started wheezing, I came out. 

It is that cold. 

Anyway, please note this.
- they only accept cash. 
- bring cooler box or bag. You can also buy styrofoam box at $5 from there.

Part of the freezer . I bought the Japanese pregnant fish or Shishamo from her previously but I don't see it. Maybe not in season.

Some of the items on sale... they also have frozen clam chowder and lobster bisque. It's not halal though as they added brandy inside... so we only bought frozen fish here.

What I bought. For my protein need. Enough to last us a month. 

Hubby then went another round inside to get more salmon. 

What he purchased .. Now that I'm seeing this here, I don't think it's that cheap.. right?

psst : You know, the smoked salmon frozen gravy from Ikea's food section is also by Fassler... But it's not halal... and it's not sold there.

Auny's birthday part 2

Note: 
Malas mode. Been busy at work. Biasa la year end coming. 

Once home, all I wanna do is lepak depan pc, blog hop, ngadap drama, main game... sambil munch munch whatever tangan boleh capai (unhealthy betul)

Buka blog, typed 1 word... pause.. surf gossip sites "Simon Cowell back with his ex Fiance??" Back to blog... type another line, eh eh... ada orang post pat Facebook la... apa lagi, layar Facebook kejap... half an hour later, back to blog, then start the staring game... ahhhh malas la. Tengok "Running man" lagi best. 

Tapi memandangkan dah nak hujung tahun ni kan, nak tak nak, paksakan diri post sumer entry... Jadi bila dah tua2 nanti boleh la baca2 kisah muda2 dulu. 

So for the next 2 days, i'm going to post more than 2 or 3 entries a day...

Auny's birthday celebration Part 2. 

This is continuation of Part 1 here

Haziq and Aura... 
Haziq must be hungry, he grab a handful of sand and stuff into his mouth. 
When he's not hungry, he went and terrorised akak Aura dia. Apa akak Aura pegang, yang tu gak dia nak. 

The birthday girl. Happy 1 year darling. By the time I publish this entry, Auny dah pandai lari dah. My lil sis (her mom) told us that now, all she want is walk walk walk. 

The food.

We ordered from BBQ Wholesale. Great food and reasonable price as usual. 

The 10 men tent, the dessert bar, the relek one corner area and the 2 siblings vying for hubby's attention 

Lastly my cute hubby + look like a doll Hana. Ashik pinjam anak orang je... tu ler I nak baby u taknak !! The clock is ticking baby... hmmpp.

Rurouni Kenshin the Movie...

To those not familiar with Samurai X / Rurouni Kenshin, 

Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story (るろうに剣心 -明治剣客浪漫譚- Rurōni Kenshin Meiji Kenkaku Rōmantan^?),^[1] also known as Rurouni Kenshin and Samurai X, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated byNobuhiro Watsuki. The fictional setting takes place during the early Meiji period in Japan. The story is about a fictional assassin named Himura Kenshin, from theBakumatsu who becomes a wanderer to protect the people of Japan. Watsuki wrote this series upon his desire of making a shōnen manga different from the other ones that were published in that time, with Kenshin being a former assassin and the story taking a more serious tone as it continued. Wiki. 

Nuff said... so guys, If you have not done so... GO watch the movie. Awesomeness I kid you not... !!! 

When I first watched the anime years back, I swooned over this goofy samurai. 

Now when I think of Samurai X, I'll think of this guy. (Played by Sato Takeru... last I saw him was in Mr Brain and Q10.. Jdorama. )


Move over Edward and Jacob... 
Give me Battousai over The Wolf and the Vampire.. anytime  !!! Anywhere.

In SG, it's only showing at FilmGarde Bugis as well as FilmGarde Kallang. It's not cheap tho. One weekend ticket cost us $11 each. (but it's worth it ! )

Garden by the Bay

Banyak betul unpublished post. Type type type tapi takde mood nak post. 

Here's a recent pic we took at Garden by the Bay. All taken with iPhone 4 so it's not exactly clear. 

I've been wanting to there with mom, sis and the lil tykes but sis not that keen :-) More like malas to jalan agaknya. 

So one of the weekend I dragged my darling. This was after we went to Mabel's housewarming on one Sunday afternoon. We had vegetarian lunch at her place, which I quite enjoy. (Surprise surprise)

The idea of going to garden is to enjoy the scenery and peacefulness. Being a Sunday, the place is full with tourists and locals alike. Not surprising since this is the newest attraction here what more being close proximity to Marina Bay Sand and easily accessible to the recently opened Circle Line. 

If I can pick a day, I'd choose a weekday when it's less crowded so that I can soak up the beautiful man made landscape. I probably make another trip many months later when the flowers and trees are older. . 

The outdoor garden is free. You only need to pay for the admission to the Cloud Forests and Flowers Dome as well as the OCBC skyway. 

Anyway I snapped alot pictures with my phone but it doesn't turn up well. 

Something to accompany us down the park. I read somewhere, the Mao Shan Wang Durian is the best Durian ice cream here. Its awesome... best or not.. I have no idea but this suit my palate. 

Oh ya... I fall in love with orchids here. I almost wanted to buy a pot back and Hubby almost caved in lol.

Dad would love this place so I told Dad a few days later that I'd bring both him and mom there one the weekend. Not anytime soon as dad and mom schedule is more packed than me.. heeheh 

We paid $12 each to enter Cloud Forest. It's much cheaper for local. Tourist need pay $28 for 2 Conservatories. 

I think the idea it's cheaper for local is because they want to encourage more locals to visit. Actually the Outdoor Garden is pretty enough and it's free. We only buy tickets to the air-conditioned Cloud Forest to escape from the heat.

How to enjoy the Cloud Forest with that many ppl up there. lol I can't even stop and enjoy the view so as not to block the person behind. Anyway its really scary up there... There's a warning sign for visitors with highblood and unwell should not proceed :-)

Ahhhh Finally can see the so call cloud !

Part of the Outdoor Garden with the Super Tree in the background. Lets give this park another year and i'm sure the view will be much more stunning.

OCBC Skyway, surrounded by Giant SuperTree.  We didn't get to go up. Tickets sale closed by the time we left Cloud Forest. I've been seeing this picture on web. Seeing it close and right before my eye awe me.  It truly is a beautiful sight. 

The Supertrees are home to enclaves of unique and exotic ferns, vines, orchids and also a vast collection of bromeliads such as Tillandsia, amongst other plants. They are fitted with environmental technologies that mimic the ecological function of trees –photovoltaic cells that harness solar energy which can be used for some of the functions of the Supertrees, such as lighting, just like how trees photosynthesize; and collection of rainwater for use in irrigation and fountain displays, exactly like how trees absorb rainwater for growth. The Supertrees also serve air intake and exhaust functions as part of the conservatories' cooling systems. - Wiki

As we walked out of Texas Chicken dinner, I snapped this stunning night scenary with Marina Bay Sand in the background. We will be back. 

This picture did not do justice. If you have the skills, you can take good pictures using crappy iphone camera. How I wish I have some skills to take good pictures.

Maybe we should stay one night here for my birthday. What say you darling? 

To sum it all, 

Garden by the bay, surrounded by Marina Bay Sands with view of Singapore Flyers, Marina Barrage and soon to be Garden by the Bay satay club... is a nice place to chill out. 

Just exploring the place can set you back 2 to 3hrs especially if you plan to visit the 2 conservatories. 

Bring insect repellent. I did not get any bites but my husband did :-)

Go to the Garden By the Bay website and plan your visit. There are a lot of interesting places there which we've yet to visit. We only manage to visit small part of Heritage garden.

Come in comfortable walking shoes, bring your own sandwich or food. The foodcourt is really crowded and the restaurants not cheap. 

Buy cold drinking water from the supermarket or 7 Eleven from marina bay link Mall. It's hot and humid and you need to dehydrate yourselves. Toilet is very clean so don't have to worry bout needing the loo.

Who are they? 
Search is a rock band in Malaysia. It was founded in 1981 by Yazit (drums), Hillary Ang (guitar), Nasir (bass guitar), Zainal (guitar) and Amy (vocals). The group went through many line-up changes in its career, but the songs and music remained strong and unique among Malaysian and Singaporean fans. (Click the link for more. Thanks Wiki)


XPDC is another Malay heavy rock band featured. The only song I know is CINTA and I hate that song. Babe who wasn't exposed much to Malay songs, don't even know who they are.


I went from work. The plan was to meet babe there.
Now that the circle line to Stadium is in operation, the journey from Tai Seng to Indoor stadium took me less than 30mins and there is no need for me to change train. How convenient! 


Anyway we had Burger King for dinner. Babe bought it from BK Leisure Dome. Babe met Shaz there. Shaz called me asking where we were seated. They bought standing tickets .


We took our own sweet time to enter as we were not interested in listening to opening act. 
So we stood outside people watch.


(It's interesting as we get to watch former Minah rock and Mat rock who are all now makcik and pakcik. Some even brought their anak2 along. 


Some of the former rockers still pakai baju2 rocker dorang so the end result quite hillarious actually tengok pakcik pakai seluar ketat accompanied by the usual rockers accessories.)


We met Sharon and Yusran. Like us they also want to avoid opening act. They went in before us.


After bout 45mins waiting outside the venue we went in and Horror Horror.. Amy was up there belting out. Okie great we missed out a few mins of the songs but It's ok, I don't recognise the song anyway.


Seriously. For an old man, Amy is STILL good looking. Still stylo as usual and still energetic. The rest of the gang doesn't age as well as him.

After performing the last song Gadis Ku for encore, Amy said the usual thanks etc etc and invite us to wait for the next performer which is XPDC. 


Wow !! 


That's news! Shouldn't XPDC be performing first? They are the lesser popular band right? 


We saw alot of ppl making their way to the exit. We decided to stay cos we were still hopeful that Search will perform again cos we don't think that program line up so screw up. Takkan organiser tak tahu orang just nak negok Search kan. Tak takut ke organiser kalau orang sumer balik lepas Search nyanyi? 


So we sat... listening to bad soundsystem and sometimes out of tune 2nd vocalist. (2 vocalist for XPDC. The first vocalist has a nice voice) 


First singer. I don't know his name. He has a nice rough rocker voice. 

And we sat


And we waited.. 


And babe was asking me. "Seriously who the f* are these ppl" hehehe 


And we were restless..


And we cannot stand the XPDC vocalist who kept flicking his hair. 


And we went to the toilet


And we came back from the toilet


And they were still singing ... 


sampai kul 11:50 pm gitu tau. Almost 2hrs. Panas bontot aku. 


Then.. ada last segment plak.. Last segment dorang nyanyi acoustic, which was quite ok


Then... "ok bye everyone" 


Aish tu jer? 


Amy tak keluar lagi ke? Kalau tahu.. siang2 aku da balik. 


Anyway, this concert betul tak best pasal : 


1) Program line up. Search as opening act and XPDC as main act? 


2) Song's line up. One thing bout 'Search' is that, they have lesser popular songs that made it to the mainstream. Babe don't recognise most of the songs. I'm dissapointed that they did not perform Kejora and Rozana :-( which in my opinion are much more nicer that the other 2 or 3 songs that I don't recognise. 


3) Comparing Wings concert to Search concert, Wings' concert was way much better. Awie performed most of their popular songs (but that's because they have more nicer songs) and I more goose pimples moments when they were playing some of the songs. Search on the other hand sounded normal but this may also be due to the bad sound system. To say sound system is bad is an understatement ! To hold a concert in indoor stadium is a bad idea. Yes I know that place can accommodate big crowd... but the sound really sucks. 


4) At myself. Stupid me... did not backup my SD card. 6G in used and i cannot take more video. Uwaaaa 


The moment dorang cakap selamat malam.. kita apa lagi terus rush to MRT station. Hoping we do not missed the last train back. 


Kalau aku tahu Search tak perform lagi, siang2 aku dah balik. tak payah la aku rush rush. Ishh.


Tak lah sampai rumah kul 1pagi kan? 


PS : Just notice that i did not blog about Wings concert.. Hmm..

Vegan burger

Lunch date with Keng Pheng, Mabel n Kim Guan.

Since Mabel n hubby are both vegetarians, we agreed to go vegan today.

The only known vegetarian place my carnivorous mouth can chew is Vegan Burger.

Today was my 2nd time dining at Vegan Burger. The first was before KP left CS.

Still as yummy. Portion still huge. Still ex.

Meatworks : For all you meaty cravings. And more.

Service and food review wasn't good. This restaurant belongs to the daughter of one of Malaysia UMNO member who is currently under investigation together with her family.

That aside, this post is about the restaurant.

An article recently in Berita Harian mentioned that they had their own ranch.

Service so far acceptable. The workers tend to crowd around one corner together.

Foodwise.

Hubby medium rare sirloin. Burnt and chewy.

Wife medium well sirloin. Burnt, chewy and salty.

The damage ? $80 for 2. (before UOB card discount)

Anyway wings concert bestla. This guy can sing live. His voice is smooth la.
