KL Dec 2012 part 2

We went KL on a last min trip... more a belated birthday celebration for both mom and hubby. 

Since Mom is not keen on driving up. (pasal dia sorang kena drive) So we took coach instead. Lagipun coach lagi more comfortable ride.. what with the wide legroom.

My sis and family joined us for this trip. I'm excited too cos this will be Hana's first KL trip.

As per norm, we took Luxury Tours Coach. We left Concorde Hotel SG at 7pm, got stuck in Tuas, cleared both SG and JB customer around 9pm, gedebak, gedebuk, toilet break, makan berak break akhirnya sampai juga ku di KL. We reached KL around 2am. 

Check in, masuk bilik, check sumer room fixtures... kita then hang around mom's room... sebab kita sedang menunggu.... tunggu and tunggu... 

Finally..... Ting Tong... Ting Tong... Ahhhh tu dia..

Siapa itu?? 

It's roomservice... bringing 2 cakes for the birthday babies... heehehehehheh What a nice surprise for mom kan... :-) 

I remember on my last business trip to Manila, Renaissance Hotel sent me a complimentary cake to my room on my birthday, so I pun try ler tanya Novetel if they could do the same. Muka tak tahu malu ni macam la. 

KL = Makan tidor makan tido, shopping, cuci mata, makan tido again. 

Bangun tidor dah ada breakfast.. Ni la namanya holiday. Thanks hubby :-)

Novotel KL! 

Always our first choice in KL. It's cheap and the best part...?? Location Location Location... ! The staffs are friendly and service is ok. 

Pada yang tanya, Novotel ni dekat betul ngan Pavilion. Senang kalau malam2 buta nak duduk lepak pat Coffee Bean sambil cuci mata atau tengok midnight show. Jalan tak sampai berapa minit je.

Lagi satu sebab pasal kita suka Novotel? 

Pasal, pat Pavilion ada kedai roti The Loaf. The tuna puff is to die for. Ni gambar our late night supper and breakfast.

(Laki ku... pergi jauh2 beli L'Occitane shower gel pat KL. Pat SG macam takde plak. Lepas conversion, we realised that it's much cheaper in SG. Pat sana, the shower gel cost RM$79. It's a few dollars cheaper here.)

Tak boleh miss makan pat A&W. Bila la SG nak bukak A&W balik ni. 

Also tak sah kalau tak singgah gak pat Masjid India. We were there for few hours. Penat betul agaknya my sister sampai duduk bersila pat kedai orang.

We didn't get to eat the yummy ikan bakar this time round sebab malam tu sumer plan nak makan ketam. 

Malam tu kita order Fatty Crab. As usual kita order Salted Egg Crab and try another new dish which is Portuguese chilli crab. Too bad they discontinue the Green Chilli Crab. To me, Green Chilly Crab lagi sedap. 

This trip is too short. Biasanya kita tinggal 3 malam but it's busy period and non of us wanted to take extra off day. 

I need to plan another trip there soon tho..I got free stay at Marriott courtesy of Marriott rewards program plus my mileage points expiring soon and I believe I can also convert to 1 free night there. Feb perhaps? 

Wedding at IOI Palm Villa Golf & Country Resort Johor

We were invited to Sham's cousin in JB.

As we both don't drive, we seeked my mom's help to drive us there and use Johor Factory outlet as a bait lol.

Date : 4th November 12
Place : Palm VIlla Golf and Country Resort Johor.

It's just 5 to 10 mins away from Johor Premium Outlet. (JPO)

We left home around 9am. We drove up to Kulai and stopped by Ramun Delight. Hubby bought some kueh to give to his team. We bought a boxful of pineapple tarts and cookies, enough to feed his 3 teams.

We reached Golf club at 11:10am.. just in time for lunch. Bride and Groom scheduled to make appearance at 2pm. As we have to go other places that day, we didn't wait for the bride and groom.

Then we were off to JBO. That was our 2nd trip to JPO. No more JPO for us. It's not any cheaper than in SG.

Stop here... boss just called asking me to come in earlier today as someone taking UL.

New York 2012 - Day 1 and 2

Alhamdulilah.
We just came back safely from our New York trip.

Day 1. 

Haiz.... this is an almost empty luggage. How to keep to the weight quota after shopping?

From JFK, you are allowed to check in 2 luggage each. Each luggage not more than 23kg. Mom and Dad sent us off with another smaller luggage as requested :-)

We took airbus A380 from SIN to JFK. Woohoo.. Nice change from the usual Boeing :-)

The interior is nice but I personally feel that the seats are not as comfy as Boeing and the recline not as low as Boeing. The main deck configuration is 3 by 4 by 3. We got the upper deck which was 2 by 4 by 2.
I like the size pocket beside window seat. You can store your handbags and blankets and pillows there. Convenient without the need to keep opening the overhead compartment.When the lid is closed, you have extra room to rest your elbow and can use it as additional space.

It was a bumby ride. No matter how many times I've travelled, I still have this fear of flying. I've tried whatever tips I can find online but those tips doesn't helps at all. I'm not sure if it's due to the cabin pressurized air or the high altitude. My throat gets dry, I have problem swallowing, I have problem sleeping and at times hyperventilate and I constantly have to force myself to sip water regularly which means toilet break very often. Standing does helps a bit and we were fortunate that we were seated near the emergency door hence we stood there whenever we felt like it.  (takut takut.. tapi ada hati nak gi holiday jauh2 hihih) 

I don't know bout u guys... i love SIA onboard meal, can gain 1 kg by the time we reach New York.

On the day we landed, there were some confusion on the customs embankment card. We remembered on our last 2 trip, we had to fill up the card. This time, we were told by the custom lady that as long as we were under the visa waiver program, we don't have to fill up anything.

Temperature low. I'm glad I packed by jacket on my carry on luggage.

As usual, we took the airport shuttle from JFK to Port Authority. We are staying at Times Square area this time round. We were fortunate to get good rates for "The Hotel at Times Square" We booked via booking.com  From Port Authority, we walked bout 15mins to Hotel. It's hard to drag luggage thru Times Square when it's crowded with fellow travellers.


This is the hotel lobby. They have a free flow coffee, hot chocolate machine at the lobby. Perfect when you just come in from the cold winter.

Hotel location is great. It's between 6th and 5th Ave 46th Street. 1 and half block from Times square and 2 block from Rockefeller. Walking distance to Bryant park and Port Authority. Perfect location!

Our Hotel room for the next 15 nights. King Size non smoking highest floor. We were pleasantly surprise by how spacious the room is. The last 2 hotels we stayed at, we paid much more and it's much much smaller with no space to walk around. And this room is clean.

After freshened up, we tot nak baring sekejap. Dia punya sekejap boleh tertido sampai 6jam. Jet lag katakan. We wasted 6hrs of sleep. Woke up almost 12am... looking for food. Buy hey... we are in New York... !!! apa lagi carik kebab la.

We walked couple of blocks up to the famous halal kebab.. We tried there before. Nothing special. Don't know why we keep going there when the food is not even that nice. Maybe its cos of the hype. This pic was taken after midnight. Temperatur at 3 deg C... maybe thats the reason why the Q not so long compared to our last trip. I took chicken rice platter and hubby being his normal self makan lamb ....

We walked to Times Square from there... woo hoo... i love this hotel. It's practically walking distance to many places :-)

Somewhere near rockefeller center subway station... around 1am. Walking back to Times Square with a heavy tummy, numbed face/tongue (macam after some intensive botox session) due to the freezing conditions.

Hong Kong Trip

Landed in Singapore on Sunday nite, not updating all the photos, but something to mention abt. Visited the Soka Centre in Hong Kong, HKSGI in Kowloon City. Bumped into one of the HK martial arts serial "射雕英雄传”actor, who played 柯震恶（江南七怪）He happened to be a HKSGI leader there. And we took a commerative photo.

Date with hassan and son

Finally. So busy this whole week. My husband dragged me to Hassan and Son. They only have peso in 500 domination. Exchange rate 0.03120. Not sure the rate good or not. I didn't change a lot as i reckon i'll be working late and no time to shop. Anyway let's hope we get off during weekend. (Mobile update)

SO sian... YY remember how my leg sprained just b4 i left NY?
well it's still hurting but then since i'm here, just tolerate the pain lah...

So 1 evening, the leg just refuse to cooperate. Cannot even limp. So hubby sent me to the hospital there to make sure nothing crack..

It's a good thing i went there cos they prescribed me some medication. Thankfully i manage to start limping again..

So exited
