Mobile upload. This place as crowded as usual. I don't remember the portion that less. At 1$ a bowl i consider the price steep. And till now i still find the taste same as at hawker centre. Husband said the franchise branch serve almost full bowl.

Hong Kong Trip

Landed in Singapore on Sunday nite, not updating all the photos, but something to mention abt. Visited the Soka Centre in Hong Kong, HKSGI in Kowloon City. Bumped into one of the HK martial arts serial "射雕英雄传”actor, who played 柯震恶（江南七怪）He happened to be a HKSGI leader there. And we took a commerative photo.

2 days B4 - Hari berinai "Henna staining"

2 days B4 - "berinai kecik"

Note: this is for my friends who are not familiar with Malay wedding,

Malay wedding usually span 2 days. But the excitement starts 3 days b4 the actual "bersanding" day.

Today is the "berinai kecik" day. My sister hands and legs will be stained with henna.

The Mahendi Artist came around noon. Sis need to leave the henna on for hours so.. if we start the henna tatooting in the evening, she won't be able to sleep comfortably as the henna need to be left overnight ... hahaha

Long long long ago, the Henna staining ceremony is much more elaborate affair..

Her friends came. They had their hands painted as well..


Nowadays Henna come in tubes. I rather use the fresh crushed leaves. But it's hard to find henna trees nowaday.





and i had fat hand painted as well... kekekeke ..


Ok... all done..

Sit still sis ... cannot walk anywhere.. cannot go toilet... Thirsty? Hungry?? hahaha too bad.. Think of all the hassle of going to toilet with henna on legs and hands..



My aunts came as well... to start preparing for "Bunga Rampai" and the "bunga telor"



The deco people came to finish setting up void deck decorations...

3 days B4 - The bridal Room

My parents truly amazing..

They setup / sew / design the bridal room for all their 3 daughters.
Of course my mom will be the one sewing, designing, arranging...

My dad will be the one drilling, installing fixtures, spot lights etc etc...

My wedding 10 years ago was their first attempt...

And they did pretty good... :-)

I don't have my full bridal room pix.. That was 10 years ago.. I don't even know where's my wedding album.


But here's the bed pix. Will try to upload if i manage to find my wedding album.



2nd sis wedding. Her room smaller but with big windows.

Finally... youngest sis room... She inherited my room after i move out.

I fail to take good pix plus my camera keep dying on me.. so after a few failed attempt. I gave up ...

Dad install 3 spot lights. I forgot to turn on the spot light when taking this pix.
Mom also arranged strips of golden beads across the drapes.. Unfortunately cannot be seen here .

Nope... my mom not doing this for others. This is something she did only for her beloved daughters. :-)

The day - Bersanding day

Today is the bersanding day...

At 1:30pm, the Rizal the groom reach our place, with his convoy.. (family members, friends escorted by band of people playing the "kompang")

Another take of the room.. This time with the 2 spot lights on...


My younger sis... adding final touches to cup cakes tier..

Yup.. she did that.. I'm surrounded by talented people...


My cousin karaokeing with her dad.... She can sing very very well...



The "berkat" ... for adults Rocher chocolate and for kids.... 1 box of cereals


The "pelamin" or dias... My sister engage this company call Istana ... something la to do the deco.

After this shot... they both together with the convey... went to groom side.... to do same thing... .. sit on dias.. take pictures... etc etc...



Now back from groom's place .. back to bride's place. ...

ps : what i like most is the red outfit my sis worn after the 'akad nikah' ... too bad.. my camera now working fine then... so the pics turns out bad..

1d B4 - Akad Nikah day

Note: this is for my friends who are not familiar with Malay wedding,

Today is the solemnisation day between sis..

My lil sis look pretty in white. She's already pretty... but the "mak andam" or (make up artist), did a good job... making her prettier...


The next pix is bride's "hantaran" for the groom.

Hantaran is gifts exchange between bride and groom.. Most commonly exchanged are watch, rings, clothes, food, basket of fruits, bags.. etc etc

But now modern mah.. so i've seen bride and groom exchange, remote control car, video, handphones etc etc :-)

See the 2 baskets? The baskets contains smaller container.. Inside the container is the "bunga rampai" or Malay version of potpurri my aunt prepared yesterday.

Bride's bunga rampai to be given to grooms family and friends who attended the ceremony and Grooms bunga rampai to be given to brides family
