Potato Gratin with caramelised onions, bite size chicken breast, garlic infused cream and top with mixture of grated cheddar and parmesan cheese. No specific recipe no fix measurement. Raid the fridge and add whatever i can find. I also added small pieces of harden cheddar cheese I found in the fridge to the cream. I made enough for 2 gratin dish and the medium size is going into the freezer for emergency meal. It's too late for something rich but the smells is so inviting. Dinner this evening was Siakap Bakar (Pan grill Seabass with Sambal) It's fast to cook because I blended and cooked the Sambal yesterday and into the freezer. Just need to thaw, cleaned and cut the seabass, reheat the sambal, heat up the griddle and it will be ready in no time. We had a portion for dinner with rice and accompanying winged beans and cilantro. Traditional Mooncake. 1st attempt. Single yolk, lotus paste and melon seeds fillings. I watched so many Youtube videos and studied many recipes to see which works. Because this was my 1st attempt, the dough vs fillings ratio I did was 3:7 I miscalculated. The mold I used should be 150gram capacity but I calculated based on 100grams so it's a bit on the thin side Otherwise, I am happy with the results. Dinner at work is Asam Pedas and White rice. Elb edition. ELB is very convenient if you plan ahead. The next time you cook assam pedas at home, before you add the fish and tamarind juice, set aside the paste and freeze a small portion. On yr next Elb adventure, just need to add yr paste, tamarind juice and seasoning if your paste is unseasoned, add fish and let it steam for 30mins or so.
