Our candy corner for today family event. Really last minute planning.. I raided the store room yesterday for the glass containers, baskets. My sisters slot in a quick dash to Daiso for the ribbons and more basket. Right this morning I am still printing the label and made a trip to Sheng Shiong for more candies. Cooking mojo is back cos somebody's home. Just about all ingredient I used for my version of Fried Carrot Cake or Chai Tow Kway. I used Oyster Sauce in replace of Fish Sauce cos I'm allergic to fish sauce. It's raining heavily from early evening. Nice wet and cold weather perfect setting for Hardtail fish (Cencaru) stuffed with sambal and deep fried. Bihun Soto for dinner because I wanted something to go with sambal ijo Bu Rudy. For soto, I prefer the clear soup type compared to the rempah kind. I also prefer with lontong but it's too late for that so bihun it is. I forgot. Sambal Bu Rudy spiciness is level 100 for me. I went all teary and sniffing my way through.. Pedas macam nak apa. Mom on the other hand said it's not that spicy.
