Hainanese Chicken Rice. Weekend Project at work. We tried using Woh Hup chicken rice paste and Steamboat pot. Team bonding, team engagement. All chip in from cooking of the rice to the servings and cleaning up. We cooked the chicken in the pot, remove chicken, add the rice to the reserved stock. We used store bought chicken rice chilli sauce. For the black sauce, I mixed some oyster sauce with chicken stock. sesame oil and light soy sauce. Too bad I cannot eat or taste due to the sesame oil. But based on feedback next time use more paste, more chicken, add more oil to the rice, add more coriander leaves and cook rice with the roots. Someone suggested add a bit sugar to the rice. Maybe I add a bit sugar to the sauce instead.
