Online scrap blogs

Another online application that i love is www.scrapblog.com

1. create an account
2. start the scrapblog builder (no installation needed)
3. Just pick from available templates or create your own.(there's alot of stickers or stamps for u to use)
4. Publish it. (you need to publish it b4 u can export your scrapblog into jpeg format) don't worry you can make it private

What i love bout scrapblog is all the wonderful stamps and stickers and templates for people with challenging creative juice.

At least the photo turn out decent for someone so uncreative like me :-)

What i hate :
previously all stickers are free... but now someone decided to earn a bit by charging small amount for premiums backgrounds and stickers. Fret not cos there's still hundreds of pretty stuffs for u to use.

note : another reason why i like online applications is because i don't have to wait till i'm infront of my pc just to edit a photo.

Steam egg in rice cooker??

Cooking hard boiled eggs can be a hassle, a friend was so kind to share this method of cooking the eggs whereby you don't have to worry whether they are over-cooked or under-cooked. 1) Place two pieces of tissue paper inside the rice cooker and sprinkle them with water. 2) Put in the eggs. 3) Close the lid and press "Cook" button. 4) Wait till the button jumps up. When it does, TURN OFF THE ELECTRICITY POWER. Do not leave them too long inside the rice cooker after cooked ...only do so if you prefer a harder egg yolk. 5) The eggs are ready. The speed is faster than using ordinary boiling method. This is because the water sprinkled on the tissue will turn into steam and compressed inside the rice cooker to cook the eggs. You can peel the egg shells off very easily. The egg yolks will turn out just nice, not too dry. And the best part is -you don't have to do any washing nor cleaning at all.

First outing of the year. After months of postponing. Jalal 'graciously offered' to organise.
If i'm not mistaken, our last outing was in Jul 08.

Food here is definitely better than Pasir Ris branch. And they serve scoop ice cream instead of cup ice cream at Pasir Ris branch.

This Spanking Suki Group new branch is beside Republic Poly and Certified halal recently. From Woodlands Interchange, take bus no 903 and alight at 2nd bus stop. But majority opt to walk much to Choon Ching chagrin. ahahahahah


Choon Ching finally stop complaining after get to eat.

and traffic ok ok today. Cab fare can goes up to $35 during heavy traffic. Really should make extra effort to leave early. It's not due to wake up late. It's the thought of another day battling at work that's dreading me.
So taxi cab is incentive for me.

Neighbour blues

(Mobile update) The only problem with my place is inconsiderate neighbours. A few floors up this particular neighbour has been hanging dripping laundry, dirty mops, rags out to dry. Sometimes i found cig ash and bits and pieces of food. Guess what i found drying on my laundry. Somebody conveniently vomited out of my window. Eee :( ps: i'm running late and this cab uncle is not helping.

Online Collage maker

i don't like to install applications on my desktop.. I like uncluttered desktop and like all my files to be in proper folders. Which is why whenever possible, i try online alternatives like Online photo editing, online converter etc.

So i'm glad that somekind soul posted this link somewhere

- i don't have to register for an account
- I don't have to upload photo's to their site (but there's a down for this)

- currently only can create collagr from those 2 sites (i tried to copy the URL from picasa it doesn't work)

Mystery of Zii

2 weeks ago, Creative pasted this teaser on it's corporate site with the tagline "

DH got really exited and was talking bout it. He can't wait to show me this. Best part, he also don't know what this Zii is all about.

So me being kaypoh, i goggled it that night and read what people were discussing bout. Some were saying that it is just a Hype. Some were saying that maybe Zii is just another player.

Creative invested 1billionUSD dollars and took them 10 years to develop this. 1 billion USD, wah.. wah, enough for me to buy a piece of island near Caribean... i think..

Ehem.. back to reality... So personally i think this is not just a simple player. But then i am still skeptical about it. I remember telling my husband, for that amount of $$$, this better be something big and also he should consider my suggestion to start searching for greener pastures. ahahhahah

Anyway! After much discussions and speculations, Zii finally unveiled what this Stem Computing is all about. Zii is to be launched during CES 2009 in Vegas on 8th Jan 09. Which is also the largest International Consumer Electronics Show (CES). But some kind souls already posted articles bout this Zii.. Read up if you are interested to know. here's the artice.

For now, I don't really care what this supercomputer is, I don't care if this supercomputer is so intelligent that it can self multiply and take over the world .. (i'm suddenly reminded of Michael Crighton - Prey)

I don't care at all.. (well for now la) What i am most interested to know if this nano supercomputer launch will do anything to Creative fallen share. Hmmm Let's see.. the current price listed at SGX for creative now is $4.08.

I shall monitor. just for fun yak yak.

DXH Dizi

Today, I went to pick a D key dizi by Dong Xue Hua, one of famous Dizi maker in China from Eason. Here's the picture for it. http://www.eason.com.sg/products/dizi/dxh(d).jsp

Found back my interest in chinese musical intructment

This picture shows the 2 'dizi' bag, mine the 4 'dizi' model.
But in actual fact,the bag was able to contain max six 'dizi' or 'xiao'.
