Wedding at IOI Palm Villa Golf & Country Resort Johor

We were invited to Sham's cousin in JB.

As we both don't drive, we seeked my mom's help to drive us there and use Johor Factory outlet as a bait lol.

Date : 4th November 12
Place : Palm VIlla Golf and Country Resort Johor.

It's just 5 to 10 mins away from Johor Premium Outlet. (JPO)

We left home around 9am. We drove up to Kulai and stopped by Ramun Delight. Hubby bought some kueh to give to his team. We bought a boxful of pineapple tarts and cookies, enough to feed his 3 teams.

We reached Golf club at 11:10am.. just in time for lunch. Bride and Groom scheduled to make appearance at 2pm. As we have to go other places that day, we didn't wait for the bride and groom.

Then we were off to JBO. That was our 2nd trip to JPO. No more JPO for us. It's not any cheaper than in SG.

Stop here... boss just called asking me to come in earlier today as someone taking UL.

Auny birthday celebration part 1

Today we are celebrating Auny celebration . BBQ picnic at East Coast Beach.

We are here now and it's drizzling. I hope it doesn't rain all day.

We came with an empty stomach only to find out the food will only arrived at 2pm.

Duhhhh . I should have listened to hubby to eat first before coming.

We are now in Burger King which is a few blocks away.

Now that Mac Donald is closed, it's good to see Burger King packed.

Deepavali - Diya contest

Updates : We won $50 NTUC voucher. So $10 each.. Jadilah. Rezeki. Alhamdulilah.

As part of SQ effort for team bonding, they organised Diya colouring contest.

Diyadivaadeepadeepam, or deepak is an oil lamp usually made from clay, with a cottonwick dipped in ghee or vegetable oils.
Clay diyas are often used temporarily as lighting for special occasions, while diyas made of brassare permanent fixtures in homes and temples. Diyas are native to India, and are often used inHinduSikhJain and Zoroastrian religious festivals such as Diwali or the Kushti ceremony. A similar lamp called a butter lamp is used in Tibetan Buddhist offerings as well. - from Wiki

I urged the ladies in my team to join... just for fun
Diya before colouring

Our effort. Very childish, no skill at all. Only Yoge one look nice.

Judging day is on 9th November :-) Will update again if we win any consolation prize

Birthday lunch at Hei Sushi and dinner ...

There is a Hei Sushi branch nearby our office. Hei Sushi is Singapore first halal conveyor belt sushi and we've been there for lunch a number of times.

So that's where we went for my birthday lunch. Courtesy of my colleagues, Wei Yi and Jason. :-)

As we've been there a number of times, we know what to expect.

The food is not exactly that nice and their price is also steep. The first time my non muslims friend went there, they commented on how different it taste like compared to other Japanese restaurant.

I cannot confirm that as I've never tried ramen at non halal restaurant in SG but I'm sure the taste would definitely differ as in order to obtain Halal certifications, they need to substitute quite a number of ingredients. For example, no pork bones to be used for the broth, the seaweed must not have sake, the miso soup must be alcohol free etc.

Whatever it is, i'm glad Hei Sushi is nearby our office. I can now satisfy my ramen cravings at lunch time especially on a cold rainy days. But that is one expensive lunch. Their lunch special can set you back $13 to $15 and thats before tax.

My advice to you is to go after lunch hours.Their service is slow and we found that the food quality differ each time. (We always ended up ordering the same dish lol)

Look yummy right? but its just average.

The salty, MSG loaded ramen. I had to drink lots of glasses of water after that :-)

Happy birthday to me

It's my birthday today. I started the day very early today. Not that I'm excited but to complete our team incentives claims for October. I don't like get distracted when money is involves hence the reason why I rather do from comfort of my home.

Haziq my 2 year old nephew called me ag work and sang me birthday song. So sweet and cute.

Hmm I'm 38 this year. In between my team enquiries, my mind is full of whats and hows.

What have I achieved so far? I'm still far from being a good muslim. What am I going to do about it.

Work is taking big chunk of my time with hardly time to sit down and do what I really want to do. Seriously i love my job.. I dont mind the long hours but what happened to my plan to start a family this year? Clock is ticking my friend.

For my birthday wish... Only god
knows :-)

Here's haziq's n Hana's latest pic.
